Absolutely fantastic food, staff were brilliant, went back three times on our holiday including the black out could not fault anything, well done, looking forward to a return visit or three later in the year

The general ambiance was cool and calm and very friendly. Our waitress was delightful-it was her restaurant-and very discreetly attentive. She spent time describing the dishes and offering her recommendations to each of us. Honestly, a really lovely place to visit, it felt like we had found a little hidden gem. Had such a lovely time at Casa do Chefe. Amazing service from José and the whole team. The food was delicious and truly homemade. It’s great to see places that take pride in their story and traditional cuisine.

We ordered the delicious hot tomato soup and garlic bread as starter. For main I ordered the steak and my partner ordered the salmon - both dishes were very well cooked and flavourful. We couldn't resist ordering the apple Tarte and shared it and it was the perfect ending. service was very friendly and attentive. We also ordered the recommended rose wine and even took a picture as it was very good. We would def. recommend to friends and family and if we are back one day, we will revisit again.

I had garlic bread for starter (very good) and then the fillet steak for main (excellent!). The serving of the starter was a bit slow, but the main came straight after. They charged me for an extra beer, so just double check your bill.

I highly recommend this restaurant! The menu is extensive and the food was excellent. I was part of a large group who ate here twice, we sampled most of the menu and everyone was very impressed with their meals. The staff were really friendly and we had a good fun with them. The food was good value for money, and we even got a free glass of port to wash it all down.

Food was amazing, staff were absolutely lovely. Josè made sure my 3 children were catered for, he couldn't do enough for us. Amazing restaurant would definitely return like we did the 3 times in the 10 days we were there😂

There is a reason why this restaurant has gotten so many 5 star reviews.. We came with our 2yr old and the service was impeccable.. The food then went above that.. Amazing Lasagna and Grilled chicken with peppercorn sauce.. So good.. We found this restaurant on our 2nd last night and if we had of found it on our 1st night we would of been back at least 1or2 more times.. 100% recommend..

Personally we don’t think anything was over priced as we got a big portions and the food was beautifully cooked so we were very happy to pay the bill and to leave a tip on top.
Like most people we read the reviews before coming and saw plenty of 4 and 5 stars but also a few 1 stars and after reading the 1 star reviews we both agreed we had no clue what they were on about the service here was very welcoming and they helped us pick a dish that suited our taste best as well as explaining to us what exactly we would get.
If you’re near the area I recommend this place even if you think it might be on the pricey side as it’s well worth a visit. We will be back again ourselves.- Serviço
